YOUTH GROUP ACTIVITIES
All youth group
activities are planned at the youth meeting.
Activities include:
Fund-raisers, outings to camp and local
areas, bowling, roller skating, movies, pizza parties, sleepovers, State and
National Youth Events, corn mazes, and combined youth activities with Christ
Episcopal, First Congregational UCC and First Baptist churches.
Special Events:
Summer Days, summer camp, Feed the Hungry,
collection for the Food Pantry, cooking and serving for the Sgt. Joe
McClusky Benefit, Easter Service, Christmas Program, and Vacation Bible
School.
Christian Education
Curriculum:
We follow the “Lectionary Service” put out by
the “Spirit of the Word”, which are Bible based lessons which include theme
related crafts, games and songs.
OUR SUNDAY SCHOOL
We have three Sunday
School rooms and a nursery. We currently use two rooms and the nursery. We
are small with room to grow. We serve 40 youth and 25 adults throughout the
year. The average youth attendance is 10 to 15, and average adult
attendance is 9 to 12 per Sunday. We have one paid staff and five volunteer
staff.
